FIFTH HONORS EXPERIENCE
Digitalized Acquire: Connected Across Vast Distances
Self Designed
Spring Semester 2025
I just couldn't let it go. I knew I was capable of something even better than I showed you last time, and the extra year of work has definitely paid off. Almost all of the code has been upgraded, tweaked, or completely restarted from scratch. An extremely stable multiplayer connection, a level editor, a new harmonized graphical interface, improved code that runs faster and more efficient, and I've even experimented with an executable constructor to make "installing" the game to your compute that much easier.

4,423 total lines of code, starting from a blank page and turning it into a seriously fun game. I am so happy to have gotten so far (even amidst all the crazy dual degree senior year things I've had to keep me away from the project. As always, the hardest part for me is calling "done" and being satisfied. To be frank, even now I'm still itching to do more testing and see what I can break. I really care about making things perfect, which makes a completely solo project both a blessing and a curse. When it goes right, it's all thanks to me, but when there's a flaming pile of garbage throwing errors left and right, I'm the only one who had to clean up the mess. This experience really helped push me to take better notes, articulate my plans, and create strategies to prevent future issues instead of perpetual treadmill bandaid-fixes.

I hope you give Acquire v0.4.0 a shot, and you enjoy playing it just as much as I enjoyed designing it.
